About

Who We Are Since our founding in 1974, Senior Resource Association has championed the independence, dignity, and well-being of seniors in Indian River County. We understand the challenges of aging, and we are committed to offering healthy meals, daily care options for those who cannot stay home alone, respite breaks for their caregivers, senior supportive services, and transportation for all. Our goal is to keep seniors living in their homes as long as safely possible. The Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast designates SRA as the Lead Agency in Indian River County for home and community-based care for the elderly. The Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged designates SRA as the community transportation coordinator for Indian River and Martin Counties and provides GoLine public transportation services county-wide. Meals On Wheels Our friendly, trained volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors’ homes Monday through Friday, including weekend meals. DayAway DayAway Adult Enrichment & Respite offers safe, engaging activities for adults unable to stay home alone safely and grants peace of mind to caregivers. Public Guardianship Adult participants are referred to SRA based on their inability to make decisions in their own best interest as determined by the court system and their inability to afford a private guardian. In-Home Services For seniors who are no longer able to manage personal and household tasks on their own, we offer homemaking, medication management, personal care, and meal preparation.
